If you are ill for more than two working days you are entitled to the Social Benefits entitlement. This entitlement constitutes 70 percent of your last earned wage (calculated as the average of the wages you have earned over the year). This entitlement is paid to you by the UWV. You can find more information about this on the website of the UWV. If you fall ill, the contract with your employer will immediately come to an end. If you would like to start working again after having been ill, a new contract will have to be signed.
If you are working for Xtend on a basis without 'uitzendbeding', you are entitled to a partial compensation of your salary from the second day of sickness onwards. Your contract will not come to an end until the date which had been settled on.
You are obligated to warn Xtend and your employer before 10:00 in the morning on the first day of sickness!
If you fall ill while being employed through Xtend, you are obligated to warn Xtend and your employer before 10:00 in the morning of the first working day on which you are sick.If you are not staying at your home address at that moment, you should also notify Xtend and your employer of the address where you are staying. You will receive a partial compensation of your salary from the 3rd day onwards.
When you are working for Xtend on a basis with 'uitzendbeding' you are entitled to a partial salary compensation from the 3rd day of sickness onwards.On the first day there is no compensation. On the second day you are entitled to a compensation which Xtend pays to you directly each week. This is called the 'wachtdagcompensatie''. Notifying Xtend when you are better.
It's important to notify Xtend when you are no longer ill. This will give us the possibility to start looking for work for you again. Xtend will try to help you get back to work as soon as possible.If you have a Fase A contract and are ready to get back to work, but you are still receiving an entitlement from the UWV, it is important that you notify them as well.
